How it works
From our pasture to your table
Ordering direct from a farm is a little different from a grocery run. Here's the whole flow, start to finish.
- 1
Reserve or shop in-stock
Preorder from an upcoming batch, or grab what’s available right now on the Shop page. No payment up front — you’re reserving your birds.
- 2
We raise & process
Your chicken grows out on pasture, moved to fresh grass every morning. When the batch is ready, we process it right here on the farm by our own hands.
- 3
You pick up
We’ll reach out when your order is ready and arrange a pickup at the farm in Kosciusko County — or local delivery around the Chapman Lake area.
- 4
Priced at actual weight
Every bird is a little different, so we weigh your exact packages at pickup and price by the pound. You pay for precisely what you take home — never an ounce more.
Why we price at pickup
A real bird raised on grass isn't a factory-stamped, uniform weight. One whole chicken might come in at 4.6 lb and the next at 5.4 lb. Instead of guessing an average and overcharging some folks, we weigh your actual packages when you pick up and charge by the pound. It's the honest way to do it — you pay for exactly what you carry home.
The Shop and Preorder pages show a close estimate based on typical weights, so you always know roughly what to expect.
